Camp ground facilities

Thomas Boyd Trackhead & Campsite offers you a mix of sites suitable for camping ranging from traditional swags on the ground to the comfort of a motorhome. Perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway, the unpowered, minimal mobile reception location offers the opportunity to simply relax with nature.

Set on the Goobarragandra river the grounds offer both bush-facing and riverside camping sites, along with a smattering of outdoor picnic tables, fireplaces, a weather shed, and two pushbutton electric barbeques.

The amenities block has flushing toilets, and both hand basins and wash-up sinks include hot water. However, It’s worth knowing there are NO showers, there is NO electricity for public use & only limited mobile phone reception at the site.

Water at the site is not suitable for drinking unless you have boiled it for a minimum of 10 mins.

A condition of entry requires that you observe the fire restrictions and general rules.

  • ALL rubbish must be taken with you at departure - no garbage bins are provided.

  • Campfires are only permitted in designated fireplaces and are subject to fire restrictions and the advice of the Ranger.

    • Remember to bring your own wood and DO NOT cut down shrubs or trees on site or in the area.

“What a beautiful and peaceful paradise! It’s so rare to find somewhere that you can relax by the river to the sounds of nature and endeavour to reel in that elusive rainbow trout. Thanks John & Gae for a great stay!”
